Hi friends and lovely readers! I have an REALLY exciting announcement today and I’ve been waiting for so long to share this with you. For a while now, I’ve been thinking and mulling over the future over this blog and I kept coming back to making a big change that will allow me to grow and continue to bring you the best content I possibly can. While it isn’t a cookbook (someday!) and I’m not quitting my full time job just yet (hi, health insurance is something you need I guess?), it does have to do with the look and feel of this site here.
The Frosted Vegan is going to be going through a name change to….Heart of a Baker! I’ve thought a few times about changing the name of the site and I finally came to the conclusion that I want the name to reflect me and why I started this blog in the first place, to share vegan recipes that I love and for the people I love. I originally started this blog as a means to share vegan recipes with my mom and dad after I moved away from home. Never anticipating this blog turning into what it has today, I picked a name that popped into my head at work one day and never looked back. The Frosted Vegan has served me well over the past almost 4 years (!!), but I wanted a more grown up name that I was proud to share and grow with through the years. The content of the site will stay exactly the same, delicious vegan recipes that are easy and just as good as their non-vegan counterparts, but the name, social media handles and whatnot will change in the next few weeks. If you’ve signed up for e-mail updates, you will still receive those as well, just with a different look! I am going to work on getting the feeds translated over as well, but that change may take a little longer than everything else. If you have any links saved, they will still work! All The Frosted Vegan links will automatically redirect to Heart of a Baker, so you don’t have to worry about losing anything you have saved in the past.
All of my social media handles will be changing to Heart of a Baker, most will take place right away when the site switches over, but Facebook will take just a bit longer, since their process is a bit harder than other social media networks to switch over.
The site change will take place in the next week or so, but I wanted to give you a heads up! There will be better navigation, clean design and just an overall new feel to the site. Lastly, I want to say a HUGE thank you to you, my readers! Without you, I wouldn’t have been able to grow and feed this blog constantly, creating new recipes, providing information on vegan baking, and throwing in a few miscellaneous posts here and there too. I continue to be amazed at this blogging journey and can’t wait to see where the journey continues to take me.
Another big thank you to Erin from Well Plated for talking me through this somewhat scary process and writing the best book on re-branding there is out there. We had several discussions and made a lot of lists over lots of happy hour drinks and dinners over the past few months and it was a HUGE help to calm my nerves.
