Ingredients

Scale
  • Homemade Sprinkles 2 cups confectioner's sugar 1 teaspoon Ener-G 1 tablespoon warm water 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract Pinch of salt If desired Spread out a piece of wax paper or parchment paper where you are going to be piping and drying sprinkles. They will need to sit for 24 hours (plus additional if needed, food coloring, so make sure they won’t need to be moved for an entire day. Sift confectioner’s sugar into medium bowl or whisk lightly to break up clumps. Add Ener-G, salt, and vanilla. Stir to combine. , Add water in 1/2 teaspoon increments until mixture is smooth enough to pipe, but still rather thick. Add less than you think will be needed, more can always be added later. Add desired food coloring until ideal color is achieved. Fill Ziploc or pastry bag with mixture, ensuring air bubbles are pressed out before piping. Cut a very tiny corner off the the bag, just enough to pipe lines to desired width. Remember, cut off less corner initially, more can be cut later. Pipe lines of the frosting onto paper, don’t worry about them being perfect! Let dry for 24 hours. When completely dry, cut into 1/4 inch long pieces with knife or break apart with fingers for a more free form length. Store in refrigerator in a sealed container.)
