Ready to use the season’s best apples? Here are 10 apple dessert recipes that are perfect for fall! From breakfast to dessert, crisp to biscuits, all the apple recipes are here!
Hello and hi there! I’m all kinds of thrown off on what day it is and have been dealing with power/internet issues, so it seems like a perfect time to talk about apple dessert recipes, yes? After taking a weekend trip for a couple of football games (college and NFL) over the weekend, AJ and I came home yesterday to a power outage (right about when it was getting dark) and then a zapped router after the power came back on. There was a lot of swearing at technology in general over the last 24 hours, but I figured out how to install a router and read way too many articles on how to troubleshoot internet problems, so it’s all good. Plus, AJ and I both ran errands yesterday and came home with ice cream, so we both have our priorities in order. Anyway, let’s talk about apple desserts!
This roundup seemed seasonally appropriate, as apples are all over the place right now and I can’t seem to get enough of them. We have plans to go to a pumpkin patch/orchard over the weekend, so I’ll be taking advantage of this list before the apple season is over. I did sneak a few breakfast recipes into this apple dessert recipe list too, but I figured breakfast= dessert in the morning, so it’s all good!
Caramel Vegan Apple Crisp with Streusel Topping – This apple dessert recipe is pretty self-explanatory, amped up apple crisp with caramel and the perfect crumbly topping, if you are looking to elevate your basic orchard apples, this is it! Vanilla ice cream would be a necessary addition, obviously.
Apple Cinnamon Vegan French Toast Casserole – One of the breakfast recipes that I had to include, this vegan french toast casserole is easy, quick and so good for a Sunday brunch. Top with whipped coconut cream and be the most popular person at brunch!
Maple Vegan Apple Cider Caramels – I remember developing the recipe for these apple cider caramels and it took a few tries but was worth it! The secret ingredient that really makes them creamy is worth it and who doesn’t love a good batch of homemade caramels?
Apple Spice Cake with Coconut Cream Frosting – This continues to be a blog favorite season after season, and with good reason. The apple spice cake that is topped with an easy vegan coconut cream frosting is too good to pass up during your next fall potluck.
Vegan Cinnamon Apple Cider Muffins – This apple muffin recipe is more recent, but it became a fast favorite at home and at work when I took them in for tasting. I’m a sucker for a crumbly streusel topping and these have it, along with a fluffy muffin part and lots of tender apples.
Caramel Apple Dumplings– I apparently have a thing for caramel and apples in recipes, this is my second so far! Apple dumplings are kind of just another way to shove caramel and the freshest apples in your face, but who is complaining? Again, ice cream is a given on this one.
Vegan Dutch Baby with Caramelized Apples and Pears – Another breakfast recipe that I stand by time and time again, vegan dutch baby! This is a breakfast/brunch recipe that is pretty easy to blend together and caramelizing the apples gives it that little extra oomph that makes it seem fancy without being fussy.
Apple and Peach Jam Pie Bars – I’m beginning to think I have an addiction to streusel in apple dessert recipes, because these apple pie bars have a healthy helping of it! Swap put peach jam for your favorite seasonal jam, or go full on apple and use all apple everything.
Vegan Apple Pie Biscuits– Yep, you read that right. Apple pie and biscuits! I originally made these on a whim for a blogger potluck, but knew they deserved their own blog post when they were met with rave reviews. These apple pie biscuits is one of those breakfast or dessert or both kind of things!
Caramel Apple Crisp Ice Cream – And the last crowning glory, a vegan apple ice cream recipe that has not only a delicious ice cream base, but crunchy granola and big chunks of apples all swirled in with caramel sauce. I’ll just leave this here, happy apple dessert recipe baking!
