I’m deeming this ‘the summer of getting myself right’. Not really in an I’m-going-to-be-perfect sense, but more like in a ‘you’re-turning-30-so-figure-it-out’ kind of way. I’m at a point when I feel like I finally have my workout routine down (yoga always and forever), I started wearing sunscreen every day (my grandma is going to give me heck for not doing it sooner), and have started enjoying a ‘fun drink’ everyafternoon. My ‘fun drink’ is usually a sparkling water blended with fruit or matcha latte to get me through the last bit of workday, blending it up around my usual 2 pm slump and powering all the way through to the end of my workday. It’s a lot less about the fun drink and a lot more about taking a moment to prioritize taking a break for self-care and enjoying an everyday afternoon.

For these cherry coconut floats, it’s more of a fun creamy/fizzy drink that has cherries right in the float and coconut milk to make everything nice and perfectly smooth. It’s nothing big, but it usually motivates me to push through the last half of my workday and make the transition into whatever I have planned for the evening. Summer of treating yourself right = fun non-alcoholic drinks!

These cherry coconut floats are the perfect mix of creamy coconut milk, frozen/fresh cherries, and Zevia Black Cherry. Fizzy/creamy/fun for the WIN! I like to mix these up right in the glass, topping off with frozen cherries as the ice cube part and saving the second glass for my nightly porch sitting after work. This recipe is SUPER flexible and can basically be used with any fizzy drink and frozen fruit combo you have on hand, as long as it will pair well with a slight coconut flavor (helloooo pineapple would be amazing in these!).
