Remember those cookies from earlier this week? These sugars were inspired by those little gems. Instead of just sprinkling regular ol’ sugar on top (which is still totally awesome), I wanted to jazz them up a bit! Infused sugar/salt/other things was never something that appealed to me until recently. Once I knew how easy they are to make and how snazzy they could be, I was all in! I feel silly even posting a recipe for these, because everything was kind of eyeballed rather than actually measured, but regardless, these can be swapped and switched up as you please! I think these would also be wonderful stirred into coffee or rimming a holiday cocktail glass.
Also, this can fall under ‘homemade gift’ territory. Anyone who gives me a jar of vanilla bean infused sugar can just shut the front door, it’s on!
Vanilla Bean Infused Sugar + Mint Cocoa Infused Sugar

- For the Vanilla Bean Infused Sugar:
- 1 vanilla bean (split in half and chopped)
- 1/2 cup granulated or cane sugar
- For the Mint Cocoa Sugar:
- 1/4 cup mint leaves (torn into large pieces)
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated or cane sugar
Instructions
- For the sugars: Pour all ingredients into a jar or container with a tight fitting lid. Shake well and let store in a cool, dark place for about a week before using. Stir into coffee, a cocktail or sprinkle on cookies.

I love vanilla bean sugar! I use it often when baking, in addition to always adding a bit more vanilla than the recipe calls for 🙂

I’ve heard of vanilla infused sugar but never mint cocoa sugar! That is such a brilliant idea. I love all things mint chocolate!
